Dear Families,
We had a wonderful and productive week of learning! Here are some highlights from our classroom:
Math:
Students practiced PEMDAS, worked with decimal place values, and reviewed graphing. I will continue designing lessons that strengthen skills for success at the middle school level.
English/Language Arts:
We focused on penmanship, grammar, and summarizing an article. Students read aloud and enjoyed a few funny stories that encouraged both imagination and a love of reading.
Science:
5th graders continue their exciting investigation of a peculiar artifact! They are analyzing fact-based data and using it to make predictions.
Music:
Students are learning to connect staff notation with the piano keyboard.
It’s been another engaging week full of growth and discovery. Here’s to another great week ahead!

Dear Families,
We had another exciting week of learning! Here’s a look at what we’ve been working on in class:
Math:
Students practiced PEMDAS, developed numerical sense with decimals out to the thousandths, and worked on graphing in all four quadrants of a graph.
English/Language Arts:
We continued practicing penmanship, grammar, and summarizing articles. Students also enjoyed Mad Libs, which gave us a fun way to reinforce parts of speech.
Science:
Music:
Students are connecting staff notation to the piano keyboard, and we added a drum kit to our classroom—making music time even more engaging!
